Police investigating break-in at Green Spot Pub

Mount Pleasant Police Department is seeking information from the public in the investigation of a break-in and robbery at the Green Spot Pub on Wednesday.

Money was stolen from the Green Spot Pub, located at 808 N. Mission St. There was also damage to the interior and exterior of the building, according to an MPPD press release.

MPPD Public Information Officer Jeff Thompson said there was "considerable" damage done to windows and walls to get into the pub.

“They had to basically destroy a window, a glass block you would see in a bathroom,” Thompson said.

Police were able to collect evidence to aid them in identifying suspects, but Thompson said he was unable to disclose any more details of the evidence, or the amount of money stolen, citing the open case.

Anyone with information on the break-in is asked to call Central Dispatch at 989-773-1000 or the Mount Pleasant Tip Line at 989-779-9111.
