Director for Faculty Center for Innovative Teaching finalists to visit campus next week

A total of three finalists have been selected for the vacant director of Faculty Center for Innovative Teaching at Central Michigan University.

The finalists have been invited to CMU's campus on Tuesday May 27 through Thursday May 29 to take part in open forums, teaching demonstrations and mock consultations.

The candidates will also be interviewed by search committee chairperson Claudia Douglass while visiting CMU next week.

The finalists and days on campus are as follows:

Tuesday, May 27 – Billie Franchini, director of the Institute for Teaching, Learning and Academic Leadership, University of Albany, New York.

Wednesday, May 28 – Brad Shope, director of the Center for Faculty Excellence and professor of music, Texas A&M, Corpus Christi.

Thursday, May 29 – Jace Hargis, faculty development consultant.

All candidates will follow this schedule:

10:30-11:30 a.m. Park Library – Strosacker Room Open forum (live stream available)

2-2:45 p.m. FaCIT Classroom, Park 413D Teaching demonstration

3-3:45 p.m. FaCIT Classroom, Park 413D Mock consultation
