Field Hockey tops St. Louis

With a 1-0 win over non-conference foe St. Louis on Sunday, the Central Michigan University field hockey team (6-9 overall) completed a weekend sweep.

CMU sophomore Maude Stalars scored the lone goal to seal the win for the Chippewas against St. Louis. Her score came from one of five penalty corners CMU generated. The Chippewas finished with 11 shots as a team. Junior goal keeper Sadie Reynolds racked up her fifth career shutout with four saves against St. Louis.

The women have won five of their last six games.

CMU will take on Ohio Friday at the CMU Field Hockey Complex. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
