“Tom’s leadership and experience will provide a smooth transition for the college as plans are formulated for a national search,” said Provost Michael Gealt in a press release. “His continuity of leadership, paired with institutional knowledge and a strong understanding of the needs of the College of Health Professions will help us effectively and efficiently focus on these priorities in the best way for CMU.”

Ingersoll will leave Central Michigan University to become dean of the College of Health Sciences at the University of Toledo.

Masterson previously served as interim dean of The Herbert H. & Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions from September 2007 to June 2009. He began his CMU career as an assistant professor in the School of Health Sciences, later becoming an associate and full professor. He assumed the role of chair for the School of Health Sciences in 2004.
