Mid-American Conference announces 2015 football regular season schedule

The Mid-American Conference announced its 2015 football regular season schedule on Friday. Central Michigan University will host two mid-week games and open the conference schedule at home. 

Here is a rundown of the Chippewas' conference agenda for 2015 (home games in bold):

--Saturday, Oct. 3 vs. Northern Illinois (11-3 in 2014)

--Saturday, Oct. 10 at Western Michigan (8-5 in 2014)

--Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. Buffalo (5-6 in 2014)

--Saturday, Oct. 24 at Ball State (5-7 in 2014)

--Saturday, Oct. 31 at Akron (5-7 in 2014)

--Tuesday, Nov. 10 vs. Toledo (9-4 in 2014)

--Wednesday. Nov. 18 at Kent State (2-9 in 2014)

--Friday, Nov. 27 vs. Eastern Michigan

**Kickoff times for CMU's conference games will be announced 12 days prior to the day of the game.

Before the MAC seasons starts, CMU will face schools from the Big 12, ACC and Big Ten.

Here is the Chippewas' 2015 nonconference schedule (home games in bold):

--Thursday, Sept. 3 vs. Oklahoma State (7-6 in 2014)

--Saturday, Sept. 12 vs. Monmouth (6-5 in 2014)

--Saturday, Sept. 19 at Syracuse (3-9 in 2014)

--Saturday, Sept. 26 at Michigan State (11-2 in 2014)

Kickoff times for the nonconference games have not been announced.

The Chippewas finished 7-6 overall in 2014 and earned a spot in the inaugural Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, losing to Western Kentucky University 49-48.

CMU will be led this fall by first-year Head Coach John Bonamego, who was hired Feb. 8.
