The green week, which is being called Let’s Set the Green Standard, will be holding challenges throughout the week in order to promote going green.

Monday through Thursday, different initiative will be taking place. Going paperless, turning out lights, unplugging electronics and avoiding disposable products will be the main focus of thsoe days.

Friday, March 20, a Shred-it truck will be visiting from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m., making stops at the EHS, Wightman and Finch Fieldhouse. The Shred-It truck will be gathering any unneeded paper in the office. The department with the most recycled paper will win this challenge.

There will also be an Isabella Community Soup Kitchen Fill-A-Truck competition, where departments can bring in food and other items to the EHS loading dock throughout the week. The department that donates the most items will win the Fill-A-Truck Donation Award.

Along with the challenges that will be held this week, the CEHS is encouraging students and faculty to wear green to support the “Go Green” week.
