As of April 6, Student Government Association President Chuck Mahone has been elected to return as SGA president.

He alongside with Vice President, Maggie Blackmer, will serve as the voice of the student body for the 2015-16 school year.

Out of 686 votes, 89.65 percent fell in favor of Mahone and Blackmer. The other 10.35 percent of the vote was in favor of “no confidence”.

Mahone and Blackmer stated earlier in the month at the SGA Presidential Press Conference that running uncontested would in no way waver their dedication to the student body.

Taylor Gehrcke received 90.16 percent of 498 votes, thus bringing him back for another term as SGA treasurer.

A total of 24 new senators were also elected to the SGA Senate.

Both the President and the Vice President will be sworn in tonight at the Elections Result Press Conference at 5:30 p.m. in the U.C. Rotunda. An Inaugural Reception, also hosted in the Rotunda, will follow at 6 P.M.
