Man arrested for multiple vehicle larcenies

Zachary Riggs, a 23-year-old Mount Pleasant man was arrested on a five-count misdemeanor warrant for breaking and entering in a vehicle. Bond has been set at $20,000.

Mount Pleasant Police Department Officers Tim Standen and Jonathon Straus arrested a Mount Pleasant Man connected to multiple vehicle larcenies.

The officers responded complaint of a car larceny Wednesday in the area of Cooley and Elm streets and found Zachary Riggs, a 23-year-old Mount Pleasant man, in a vehicle. The investigation revealed that Riggs had broken into at least five vehicles and possibly more.

Riggs was arrested and lodged at the Isabella County Jail on a five-count misdemeanor warrant for breaking and entering in a vehicle. Bond has been set at $20,000.

The investigation is ongoing as officers attempt to identify other possible victims. Police are asking individuals who had their vehicles broken into on April 14 or April 15, to call at 989-779-5100 or Central Dispatch.
