Woman arrested after brief car chase

April McMullen, a 32-year-old Mount Pleasant woman, was arrested after a brief car chase around 1:30 a.m. Monday. 

A Mount Pleasant Police Department Officer attempted to pull McMullen over for an expired license plate, when she attempted to flee. After a short pursuit, McMullen pulled over at Broadway and Livingston streets.

McMullen was arrested for driving with a suspended license and fleeing and eluding police officers. Upon further investigation it was determined that McMullen was intoxicated.

She was lodged at the Isabella County Jail on charges of operating while intoxicated, third offense, and the previously stated charges. Bond was set at $20,000.
