Business in Medicine to host telehealth event
Business in Medicine, a medical student organization, will host The Pulse of Telehealth at 5 p.m. tomorrow in the College of Medicine Auditorium.
The Department of Veteran Affairs will present their cutting edge telemedicine program for future health care providers during the event.
"The first half of the presentation will be people from Veteran Resources on campus," founding member of Business in Medicine Alex Ghannam said. "They'll be talking about the effects of war on their health such as the chemicals they were exposed to. The second half we'll have nurses from the VA talk about how telemedicine is being used to treat veterans."
