Ghena Earns MAC Runner of the Week

Senior cross country runner Nate Ghena is the Mid-American Conference’s male Runner of the Week for the second time this month.

This past weekend, Ghena led the Chippewas to a 17th place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minnesota. He finished 65th out of a field of over 200 runners with a time of 26:16 in the men’s 8K race.

Earlier this month on Sept. 9, Ghena was named MAC’s male Co-Runner of the Week, along with Toledo senior Hillary Serem, after finishing first overall at the Jeff Drenth Memorial 5K with at time of 15:29 on Sept. 4. The meet was hosted by Central Michigan.

The Chippewas next meet is the Oakland Invitational on Oct. 9 in Rochester, Michigan.
