Theunissen Stadium will host the World Series this October, as Central Michigan baseball plays its Annual Fall World Series.

The series begins Friday at 3:05 p.m. in Theunissen and ends Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The team will split into separate squads to play seven competitive scrimmages throughout the month. All are open to the public.

The series will likely be the last game-style action the public will see of the Chippewas before fall ball ends and winter workouts begin.

“As soon as fall ball is over here the week of Oct. 25, we’ll go back to (working out) four times a week,” said Head Baseball Coach Steve Jaksa. “We’ll be four times a week all the way until team (practice) starts, which would be the first of February.”
