Animal Control seeks help finding owner of emanciated dog

Isabella County Animal Control is seeking the public's assistance for information pertaining to a stray pitbull who was found severely emaciated last week in Mount Pleasant.

"Every effort to return Doug to a state of good health is being made," said Executive Director of Animal Control Summer Dubois. "We cannot stress enough that people with any information regarding the animal contact Isabella County Animal Control." 

Those with information can call (989) 773-9721.

The Humane Animal Treatment Society is offering a $250 reward to those with information on the person responsible for the dog's condition. GAIN Animal Rescue Group from Gratiot County has also offered a $250 reward. 

Those who wish to make a donation to the dog, which staff has named Doug, can go to www.hatsweb.org
