Women's Empowerment Week to host events that promote gender equality

The Organization of Women Leaders, a registered student organization at Central Michigan University that promotes the gender equality and feminist ideals, is hosting Women's Empowerment Week starting Nov. 10.

This week-long event focuses on issues the group has identified as important to talk about in society.
A showing of the popular documentary called "Hot Girls Wanted" with a follow up discussion will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Anspach Room 157.
"The Gentlemen's Club" is an event that will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Pearce room 136 after the pornography documentary. This event will focus on how feminism relates to men, and its importance to all genders.
Women's Empowerment Week will come to a close with an open mic and art night at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night at the Dreamer Coffee Shop. Anyone interested in performing is welcome.
