Trevor Roberts, 21

An incident of road rage turned into an aggravated assault on Dec. 3.

Beaverton resident Trevor Roberts, 21, was driving when he became annoyed at the closeness of the car behind him. He break-checked the other vehicle. The person driving the other car then turned on their bright lights and continued to follow Roberts. Eventually, the car passed, and Roberts instead began following it. Roberts followed the car to a residence on West Cherry Street.

He then got a pistol out of his trunk and pointed it at the other driver. The Mount Pleasant Police Department was originally looking into the complaint of road rage, but ended up arresting Roberts on several charges.

Roberts is charged with one count of carrying a concealed weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, a felony weapon charge, one count of marijuana possession and one count of alcohol open cary.

He is lodged at the Isabella County Jail on a 10 percent bond of $20,000.
