Three Chippewas named to MAC Gymnastics All-MAC teams

The Mid-American Conference announced the 2016 All-MAC teams on Wednesday, featuring three Central Michigan gymnasts with second-team honors.

Senior Taylor Bolender, sophomore Katy Clements and freshman Kasey Janowicz were among the thirteen gymnasts selected as All-MAC.

Bolender posted the Chippewa's best floor exercise score this year of 9.925 and has been consistent force all season for CMU, averaging 9.702 in the floor on the year. 

Clements also has CMU's highest beam score with a 9.925 and has led the beam team with her average score of 9.780 in the 2016 season.

Janowicz has been a force all season, having the highest all-around score nine times. Her season best score of 39.4 in the All-Around is .225 away from breaking the CMU all-around record set 13 years ago.

All three are back in action on Saturday in Muncie, Indiana for the MAC Championships.
