Gun accidentally discharged at Fairfield Inn

A 50-year-old  Shelby Township woman accidentally discharged a firearm in the Fairfield Inn located on University Park Drive Tuesday morning. 

The woman told police she placed the weapon on a dresser near the television. When picking up the weapon, it discharged and struck the TV and lodged into the wall. The woman had a valid concealed pistol license. 

No one was injured in the incident. The report was forwarded to the County Prosecutor's Office for review.
