Alternative Break registration to take place Monday, Tuesday

Alternative Break registration will kick off with Alternative Winter Break sign ups at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26.
Fall Alternative Weekend Break registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. Sign up information can be found on the Mary Ellen Brandell Volunteer Center OrgSync Portal.
This year's AWB issues include access to sports and recreation, animal rescue, criminal justice and survivors of aggression. A full list can be found on the Alternative Breaks website. AWB participants will depart Dec. 17 and return Dec. 23.
Registering students are encouraged to have a backup issue prepared. Each team is comprised of 12 students, including two trained student site leaders, and fill quickly.
Central Michigan University currently ranks third in the nation for Alternative Breaks, with 641 student participants and 55 trips served.
