Wrestling team climbs national polls

USA Today has the Central Michigan wrestling team ranked No. 14 in the nation, moving up three spots from last week. Intermat.com the Chippewas ranked No.16 for dual meets, moving one spot from last week.

Four CMU individual wrestlers found themselves ranked in the Intermat.com rankings as well. 

Junior Brent Fleetwood is now ranked No. 20 in the nation in the 125-pound weight class. Juniors Colin Heffernan (157) and Jordan Ellingwood (184) each moved up to No. 11 and No. 13, respectively. Sophomore Justin Oliver stayed at No. 8 at 149.

The team is back in action on Sunday at 9 a.m. in East Lansing for the Michigan State Open.
