The Mid-American Conference released the 2017 basketball schedule today.

The Central Michigan basketball team will play their first conference game against Ohio on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at McGuirk Arena.

In the first stretch of MAC play, CMU has only two home games in the first six conference games. This stretch of away games may be crucial to the teams performance in the MAC in the 2017-18 season.

The 2017 season is highlighted by a trip to face the University of Michigan at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor on Nov. 13.

The Chippewas host Western Michigan University in the last game of the regular season in McGuirk Arena on Mar. 3.

CMU has 17 home games this season. Of those games, 11 are on weekends. Head coach Keno Davis said weekend games provide a great opportunity host fans.
