Update: CMU student who threatened roommates with knife found, in police custody

A Central Michigan University student who threatened his roommates with a knife late Sunday night has been located and is in police custody.

CMU issued an follow-up notice around 2:20 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18.

The university issued an initial important notice after 12:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18. The first message said a CMU student threatened his roommates with a three-to-four-inch knife at approximately 11:42 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17 on the seventh floor of Wheeler Hall.

The student was described as a white male, 5-foot-8 and approximately 175 pounds, according to the initial notice. He has short light-brown hair and was wearing a long sleeve tie dye blue and orange shirt and light cargo shorts.
