In a poll released Thursday, the Central Michigan men’s basketball team has been picked to finish last in the Mid-American Conference West Division.

The poll predicts Buffalo to win the East Division and Western Michigan to win the West Division. The poll also predicts the Broncos will win the MAC Tournament.

CMU finished 16-16 and 6-12 in the MAC last season. The Chippewas’ conference record was the worst in the MAC West Division and second-to-last in the MAC as a whole.

Central Michigan had no members nominated to the West Division Preseason All-MAC Team.

The team features James Thompson IV (Eastern Michigan), Thomas Wilder (WMU), Tayler Persons (Ball State), Jaelan Sanford (Toledo), and Eugene German (Northern Illinois).
