In its third Big Ten matchup of the season, Central Michigan baseball fell in Ann Arbor against Michigan 8-5 on March 28.

A late two-run ninth inning wasn't enough to overcome, as CMU trailed 8-3 heading into the final inning. CMU was out-hit by the Wolverines 12-6 and left eight runners on base.

Leading the offense for the Chippewas was sophomore Zach Heeke, who went two-for-three, his second straight two hit game.

Junior Dazon Cole (0-4) got the start on the mound for the Chippewas, pitching 6.1 innings and allowing seven hits, five runs while striking two out.

Right-handed junior Logan Buczkowski (1-1) took the loss for CMU, pitching one inning and giving up one earned run.

CMU falls to 7-17-1 on the season. They travel to Ball State this weekend for a three-game series against the Cardinals. Game one is set to start at 3 p.m Friday in Muncie, Indiana.
