Martin Luther King High School 2019 wide receiver Darrell Wyatt commited to CMU.

Just over three months after picking up a commitment from Detroit Martin Luther King 2019 three-star quarterback Dequan Finn, Central Michigan received a pledge from his teammate Darrell Wyatt.

Wyatt received an offer from the Chippewas on June 23 and made his commitment on July 29.

"Ever since CMU has been recruiting me, they have been showing so much love," Wyatt said. "Also, my high school quarterback is committed. We are going to have the best high school season ever and go off to CMU and pick up where we left off."

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound receiver has offers to play for Central Michigan, Bowling Green, Davenport, Delaware State, Ferris State, Findlay and Youngstown State.

Wyatt is the 14th member of CMU's 2019 recruiting class and the fourth player from Detroit.

On June 17, Wyatt made a post committing to Bowling Green. He said the announcement was a misunderstanding.

The best part about CMU to Wyatt is the coaching staff. He always wanted to be treated like a member of a family, not just a football player. CMU gave that feeling to the wide receiver while recruiting him.

Fourth-year Chippewa coach John Bonamego was the biggest reason Wyatt decided to join the team.

"He is an excellent coach," Wyatt said. "Since he offered, he has just been showing so much love and really proving that he wants me in the CMU family."

Bonamego plans to have Wyatt come in as a big threat wide receiver on the outside, just like former Maryland wide receiver D.J. Moore, who now plays for the Carolina Panthers.

With Wyatt's size, speed and athletic ability, there are serious comparisons between him and Moore.

Central Michigan's 2019 class includes:
