Men of color at Central Michigan University are invited to attend the 2018 GameChangers Conference to gain insight and resources to become influential leaders.

Multicultural Academic Student Services will host the conference with the purpose to educate, motivate and elevate men of color from 10-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 in the Bovee University Center.

There will be presentations, workshops, activities and breakout sessions aimed at strengthening leadership skills. Topics for the conference include career development, entrepreneurship, mental health and mentorship.

The event will also feature keynote speaker Lester Booker, a CMU alumnus who now works at General Motors Co. Lawrence Lyons, the public relations coordinator for the conference, said Booker is "a community-oriented individual, who is dedicated to philanthropic service, youth mentoring, and volunteerism."

Information about registering for the event can be found on the GameChangers website.  The deadline to register is Sept. 21. The registration fee is $30, which can be paid online or mailed to the Multicultural Academic Student Services Office.
