Central Michigan women's soccer head coach Peter McGahey is being replaced.

The coach's contract expired at the end of this season, and CMU athletics decided not to extend it. McGahey recorded a 50-55-12 overall record at CMU. In the 2018 season, the Chippewas went 7-12 overall and 5-6 in Mid-American Conference play.

"I have done an extensive review of our program over the past week and determined it was necessary to make a change with our soccer leadership," Athletic Director Michael Alford said in a press release.
