Central Michigan University canceled classes in Mount Pleasant for Tuesday, Feb. 12 due to inclement weather.

After the university sent CMU alert calls around 5 a.m. that operations would be delayed until 11 a.m., another decision was made around 9:30 a.m. that the university would remain closed for the rest of the day.

This means all offices, buildings, events and classes are closed or canceled with the exception of residence halls, according to CMU alerts.

All residential restaurants and their convenience stores will operate as normal today, and the Student Activities Center will be open from noon to 8 p.m. today.

The university has canceled operations five days over the past two weeks due to inclement weather.
