The Organization for Black Unity will host its 19th Annual Fashion Show at Central Michigan University at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 in Plachta Auditorium.

The fashion show will feature collections from stores, boutiques and upcoming designers. This event is free entry and open to the public to view the many collections above.

"The OBU Fashion Show has a huge impact on CMU students who attend because it displays culture while promoting unity and celebrating our differences," said Ypsilanti senior Lorrynda Walthall.

Walthall is the head director of CMU's 19th Annual Organization for Black Unity Fashion Show.

The OBU’s purpose is to create a supportive and involved community on CMU’s campus.

"I hope that the OBU Fashion Show shows the campus how amazing we can be when we all come together to promote positivity in a creative way," Walthall said.

After the OBU fashion show, they will be hosting a 7 Deadly Moods party from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Encore Night Club, located at 108 Court St.

The tickets are $10 during the presale, but the price will go up at the door. You must be 18 years or older to get in, and must provide a valid state ID to enter the event.

The tickets can be found through eventbrite
