Police report stabbing at Deerfield Village Apartments Saturday morning
A 27-year-old man was stabbed with a kitchen knife during a domestic assault incident by his partner, a 23-year-old man early Saturday morning at Deerfield Village Apartments.
The victim suffered severe wounds but nothing life-threatening. Police found the man bleeding from several stab wounds to the head when they arrived at the scene.
Before the stabbing, the stabbing victim was “strangling” his partner to the point where he couldn’t breathe, according to a press release from the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office. That is when the 23-year-old man grabbed a knife from the kitchen, police said.
The 23-year-old man was charged with assault with a weapon felony and taken into custody.
