Junior forward Rob Montgomery injured his groin during warmups and didn't play in Toledo's 80-68 win over men's basketball.

The 6-foot-6 Montgomery was wearing a wrap around his leg with ice to start the game and then took it off around the 10-minute mark of the opening half. Montgomery then rode the warmup bike but never entered the contest.

Coming into the game, Montgomery started all 28 games for the Chippewas and averaged 29 minutes per contest. He averages 11 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He also leads the team with 28 blocks.

Junior guard Dallas Morgan started in Montgomery's place for his second consecutive start. Morgan is normally a backup for senior guards Larry Austin Jr. and Shawn Roundtree.

This story will be updated when more information is available.

Following the game, head coach Keno Davis said he "doesn't know the specifics" of Montgomery's injury other than it was right before the 12-minute mark of warmups leading into the game.

"Hopefully it isn't anything long term and we can get him back sooner than later," Davis said.
