Dansville sophomore Dresden Simon wins his match against Purdue opponent in McGuirk Arena on Sunday, Feb. 24.

Tom Borelli’s 29th season as the coach of Central Michigan's wrestling program won’t be easy.

The Chippewas' 2019-2020 season schedule was released Monday, and CMU will face a few Power Five tests throughout the campaign.

There's also a fresh look to the Mid-American Conference that will come into play. Rider University, George Mason, Bloomsburg University, Cleveland State University, Clarion University, Edinboro University and Lock Haven are all newcomers to the league.

The season starts Nov. 2 at the Michigan State Open, and CMU will then head to the Appalachian State Invite Nov. 9 and the Black Knight Invite Nov. 17.

The dual meet slate will begin Nov. 24 in Ann Arbor against Michigan. The Chippewas have nine Mid-American Conference games on their schedule including opponents such as Missouri and Cleveland State who are affiliate MAC members.

The Chippewas will also see two major non-conference foes come to town in Michigan State and Virginia Tech. The Spartans will come to Mount Pleasant Feb. 21, thus closing out the regular season for CMU. The Hokies travel to CMU on Jan. 3.
