The LGBTQ Services Office will be observing National Coming Out Day on Friday, Oct. 11.

The Bovee University Center’s LGBTQ Services Office, room 110A, “will be open for anyone to come in and reflect on their experiences/share their story if they are ready.” Their doors will be open from midnight until 11:59 p.m.

The event is just one of many planned for October, which is LGBTQ History Month.

At one event, lunch was provided for faculty and staff on Thursday, Oct. 10, in Charles V. Park Library.

This event was sponsored by the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and invited Central Michigan University faculty and staff to “discover and celebrate each other’s triumphs and struggles in the LGBTQ+ movement.” Former faculty and staff were also welcome to attend the lunch.

“For some, the road was long and dangerous; for others, it was paved yet still full of unexpected turns. Come share your story and find your friends," a listing for the event read.
