Department of Theatre and Dance to showcase "Punk Rock" play Feb. 5-9

The Central Michigan University Department of Theatre and Dance will showcase its production of "Punk Rock" 7:30 p.m. Feb. 5-8 in the Townsend Kiva near Bush Theatre.

"Punk Rock" will be the department's first production of the Spring 2019 semester and will feature directing by CMU Theatre alumna and CMU Department of Theatre and Dance Professor Keeley Stanley-Bohn.

Punk Rock is the work of British playwright Simon Stevens and premiered in Manchester, London in 2009. The story follows a group of grammar school students preparing for their lives after graduation. Its cheeky romantic subplots and adolescent attitudes received positive reviews after its premiere.

Tickets available for purchase online through CMU Central. Tickets bought at the door are subject to increased rates.
