Former Central Michigan defensive end Mike Danna was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Danna played three seasons at CMU from 2016-18 after taking a redshirt in 2015. After graduating from CMU in 2018, Danna transferred to Michigan to play his final season of college football with the Wolverines.

In his time at CMU, Danna appeared in all 38 games, making 16 starts — including 12 in 2018 — and totaled 157 tackles (92 solo). He scored two touchdowns in 2018 against Eastern Michigan and Toledo.

As a lineman in the 2018 season, Danna was named to the Pro Football Focus All-American First Team and was named to the All-Mid-American Conference First Team.

The Detroit native and Warren De La Salle Collegiate grad was taken with the 177th overall pick in the NFL Draft.
