Crowds of people explore the offerings of MainStage on Aug. 26, 2018 at CMU.

Instead of the usual maze of tables, free food and merchandise, MainStage will be taking place virtually due to the precautions surrounding COVID-19 and the start of the school year.

The annual Central Michigan University event will take place using Engage Central from 2-5 p.m. on Aug. 23.

Each Registered Student Organization will be allowed to manage a personal video room on Engage Central to talk to interested students, according to an email for RSO leaders from Dani Rossman assistant director of Student Organization Services.

Rossman recommended that RSO's use WebEx in order to create a seamless as possible experience for our new students.

"We are still finalizing what space booking will look like for student organizations, but based on campus policy and state law, we do know that meetings with more than 10 people will not be allowed," Rossman said. "More information will be provided in the coming days on when student organizations will be able to begin being able to book space for small meetings."
