That's how Brighton senior Emily Parsons described her first year of college - a series of frivolous spending, partying and other decisions she now regards as irresponsible.
Roughly one in four American adults per year suffers from some diagnosable mental disorder.

However, this statistic, provided by the National Institute of Mental Health, may not capture the bulk of undiagnosed cases.

Ross Rapaport, director of the Counseling Center, said numerous adults - for reasons varying from fears of being stigmatized to considering treatment as a sign of weakness - hesitate to seek help, even though it would improve their well-being.
Researcher Sukho Lee concluded students who live on campus may consume more sugar and total calories per day, but they have a higher level of physical activity compared to their off-campus counterparts.

Jewish children have Bar Mitzvahs, American girls have their "sweet 16" and young Spanish women have a Quinceanera.
That is how long it takes Tracy Kaatz to steal second base when her team needs a runner in scoring position and her adrenaline is pumping.
In that same amount of time, the opposing pitcher must release the ball; the catcher must make a clean catch and throw the ball across the diamond to the second baseman.

In response to Monday's editorial column "Legislating Designs," I would like to clear up a few misconceptions that some may have about interior design.

First, the "design" that the unnamed author referenced in that column only highlight "decorating," which is not the full scope of interior design.

"It's not good
because a big thing that attracts kids to Central
is the CMU
Promise and they are already
discontinuing that next year."
Blake Andersson

"It's already too expensive
considering the Michigan
economy."
Michelle Sun,

"I don't think it's fair at all because we are
sophomores now and they are
raising the price now.
