Central Michigan University Police have impounded 82 bicycles and tagged 250 more this month in an effort to crack down on bicycle theft.

CMU Police Department Service Officer Mike Anderson said most of the bikes that are picked up are abandoned or have several things wrong with them.

This week, Island Park will celebrate the weather, music and fun that summer brings each year.

The 25th Annual Mount Pleasant Summer Festival begins today at 331 N. Main St. and runs through Sunday.

“There is something for everyone at the Summer Festival,” said Sally Wilson, a Summer Festival board member.

The digital transformation has hit mid-Michigan and local stations are prepared to deal with problems.
