China sophomore Heidi Chu plays “Piano Recital from Hong Kong” during
the 2006 International Night on Monday evening in Warriner Hall’s
Plachta Auditorium. The event was organized by the International Club
and offered students a perspective on other cultures in the world.
Clarence Richardson didn’t know what to expect Monday evening when he
showed up for International Night.
The Milan junior wasn’t disappointed.
“It was all pretty interesting,” Richardson said. “My favorite part
was the cultural differences (skit). That was so funny.”
Richardson was one of several hundred people who attended the
annual event hosted by CMU’s International Club in Warriner Hall’s
Plachta Auditorium.

Saturday night in Pearce Hall. Alabanza took third place in the show.
Students danced and lip synched Saturday night not only to have fun.
They gathered to raise money to purchase the His House Christian
Church building, 211 W. Broomfield Road. His House currently rents the
building, but is trying to purchase it.
Nearly 100 students took part in the first-annual His House Mock
Rock competition in Pearce 127.

Boyne City junior Lee Barrett gets a pie in the face during the Pie a
Bronco fundraiser outside the Bovee University Center on Thursday. The
fundraiser earned money for the mobile food pantry for Isabella
County.
Many students spend their weekends consuming drinks.
But Grand Rapids senior Kit Anderson spends hers serving them.
“I love the energy of the crowd that comes in,” said Anderson, a
