to be displayed on your computer. You will need a program called an RSS news
reader or aggregator to view the news feeds. The RSS feed from cm-life.com is free for the general public
to use. You may also include headlines and article summaries on your Web site
by subscribing to our XML news feed for free.

RSS feeds from cm-life.com

Our RSS feed is available for personal use and other
commercial and non-profit Web sites for free. There is no need to register and
all you need to do is view our license and click the “I Accept” button. You
will be provided with a URL to the RSS feed. This URL can be entered into
an RSS Reader (more on those below) and the content will be delivered to your
computer automatically.

If you own or manage a Web site, contact us at webmaster@cm-life.com so we can fax you
a license agreement that must be signed. When CM Life recieves the signed
agreement, you will be provided with a URL to the news feed. All you need is a
server-side script to process the XML news feed and insert the headlines,
links, story summaries, and/or images on your Web pages.

RSS Readers/Aggregators

These programs come in many forms. Most look and
work similar to many popular e-mail programs like Outlook Express or
Netscape Messenger, and
allow you to subscribe, unsubscribe, organize and view RSS feeds. Below
is a
list of RSS Readers, many of which are available for Windows, Linux,
and
Macintosh computers:

registration.

Processing RSS with Server-side scripts

You don’t have to stop at cm-life.com. Most popular news
sites now offer RSS feeds for free. Now you can have all the news you want

Central Michigan Life (hereinafter “Licensor”) and the Licensee
enter into this agreement for the purpose of providing an RSS headline
linking feed from the Licensor’s online site to the Licensee for
personal, non-commercial use.

The following terms and conditions apply:

  1. Licensor grants licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable
    license to use RSS headlines and text as provided by licensor under
    this agreement.
  2. Licensee acknowledges that licensor is the owner of the content
    and all intellectual property rights related to the links and text
    delivered with the RSS headlines and text.
  3. Licensee shall not charge any end user a fee or other form of
    consideration for access to the RSS links or the licensor’s website.
  4. Licensee shall not amend, modify, vary or alter the RSS headlines
    and text, nor allow them to be amended, modified, varied or altered by
    any third party.
  5. Licensee has no right to sub-license the RSS headlines or text
    from licensor. Licensor reserves all intellectual property rights in
    the RSS headlines and text and the related articles.
  6. Licensee has no right to display or archive any of the content
    for more than the time provided in the RSS feed protocol and shall not
    modify that protocol as provided by the licensor.
  7. Either party may immediately terminate this agreement at any time by giving written notice to the other party.
  8. Upon termination of this agreement licensee must cease to use the
    RSS feed and text or any other intellectual property rights of licensor.
