The CMU volleyball team gets a rematch of its final regular-season match today in the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament.

The Chippewas play Northern Illinois at 11 a.m. in the Seagate Center in Toledo.
The Chippewas swept NIU in their last meeting Nov. 14. The winner of today’s match advances to the semifinal match.

After squandering a seven-point lead in the fourth set, the CMU volleyball team was able to rally in the final set and advance to the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference tournament.

The team will face in-state rival Western Michigan on Friday and Northern Illinois on Saturday. Both matches begin at 7 p.m.

The CMU volleyball team lost both matches in a weekend for the second time this season.

Central lost to Ball State on Sunday in straight sets after dropping a five-set match against Toledo on Saturday.
