A giant game of Twister will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday between the Finch Fieldhouse and the Health Professions Building.
This game of Twister will not take place on a typical mat. This game will allow hundreds to participate.
To make room for everyone, the typically colored circles will be drawn out in the field.
"We will be able to fit 200 people playing," Saginaw sophomore Aaron Rambow said.
This is no party game because the proceeds from registration ($3 ahead of time) will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
The event is being sponsored by a group of students from an RPL 430: Recreational Programming class.
"We wanted to do something different, something people will be drawn to," Rambow said. "This is something that no other RPL 430 class has done before."
There will be a raffle drawing, door prizes and the grand prize is two tickets to a Detroit Lions game.
Sign-up will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Wednesday outside of the Bovee University Center, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Registration will cost $3 Monday through Wednesday and will be available at the site for $4.
"We had so many ideas for this," said Rochester junior Emily Larson. "It was just a random idea and we all thought 'why not?'"
RPL 430, which is taught by Recreation and Parks Instructor Tim Otteman, was divided into 12 different groups and each had to develop a fundraising idea.
In case of bad weather, the game will move into Finch Fieldhouse room 113.
