The women's club rugby team is approaching the end of its season.
During the team's second to last game Friday against Bowling Green State, the team lost 61-5.
CMU scored one try during the home game.
"Bowling Green is just a hard team to play," said coach Erin Kunnen. "They have a strong backline and simply play very good."
However, the team was satisfied with its game.
"Everyone was in the game, playing and fighting really hard," Kunnen said.
Central rescheduled its last game for Oct. 27 against Western Michigan. The team is expecting it to be a good match.
"Western has many rookies on the team as well," Kunnen said. "That will make the game more even."
So far, CMU is 1-4. Central has had some struggles because many players are inexperienced.
"The rookies are still learning," Kunnen said. "Everybody has a great potential, though, which will pay off during the next couple of years."
CMU junior Jenelle Stewart started to play rugby during the spring semester.
"I just love the sport," she said. "The games have been great so far and I made a lot of good friends."
