Playing three games last weekend has left the women's club soccer team banged up and has made practice difficult this week.
Central wraps up its season this weekend with games against Michigan State, Illinois and Purdue.
The team faces MSU at 10 a.m. and Illinois at 4 p.m. Saturday at East Lansing. The team's final game is home against Purdue at noon Sunday.
A few players are questionable for this weekend's matches. Even with a limited amount of players available at practice this week the team was able to work on a few key things they want to do in their final few games.
"We're going to switch the field a lot, we're going to talk a lot more," said sophomore Erica Lemm.
Central is coming off a tough 2-1 loss to MSU last Friday. The teams were tied until the final minutes when MSU scored a late goal. The team has never played Illinois before and tied Purdue 1-1 in its season-opener last season.
Since the team had two games on Sunday, it took Monday off. But even with the rest day, between injuries and sickness, only nine players were able to make it to Tuesday's practice.
The team also is going to make sure to not let so many fast breaks happen.
CMU will not have the luxury of spending four hours of downtime at home like it did last week. Instead, the team will have to find somewhere to eat, stretch and relax before taking the field again.
The team also will have to deal with playing three games in a weekend for the second consecutive time. This weekend Central doesn't have a day off in between the games. While it seems like it would wear a team down, the team differed.
"I'm more tired after, during the game I always have adrenaline," said sophomore Caitlyn Bifoss.
