Rent these:

"Training Day" (2001): "American Gangster" star Washington is a crooked narcotics officer training Ethan Hawk's rookie cop in Washington's dangerous and morally twisted method of upholding the law.

"The Killing" (1956): Stanley Kubrick's triumphant noir thriller about a brilliant and daring racetrack robbery has inspired crime films for the last half-century.

"Smokey and the Bandit" (1977): Burt Reynolds has a long way to go, and a short time to make an illegal shipment of beer from Texas to Georgia with the law on his tail. A light, fun take on the crime genre.

"Infernal Affairs" (2002): This Hong Kong movie on which "The Departed" was based tells the tale of an undercover cop and a gangster mole in the police trying to out one another as rats. Arguably more tense and effective than its Hollywood remake.
