Rockets keep Central on pace in West, Miami beats Buffalo

Toledo 52,
Eastern Michigan 28
Aaron Opelt completed 17-of-29 passes for 276 yards on Saturday as the Rockets pounded the Eagles in the West Division.
Jalen Parmele rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns, while Stephen Williams caught two touchdowns in the win.
The Eagles pulled within a touchdown in the first half after a 1-yard touchdown run by Pierre Walker, but the Rockets stormed back late in the first half with Williams' touchdown catches of 20 and 64 yards.
The win allows Central Michigan to clinch the West Division on Tuesday with a win against Western Michigan.
Miami 31, Buffalo 28
In a battle between the two top teams in the East Division, Cory Jones rushed for 125 yards on Saturday as Miami held off Buffalo, 31-28.
Daniel Raudabaugh completed 20-of-26 passes and had touchdowns to Jones in the first quarter and Eugene Harris in the third. Tommy Merriweather also ran for two touchdowns.
Both teams have identical 3-1 East Division records, but with Saturday's win Miami owns the tiebreaker and top spot in the division.
Ohio 23, Temple 7
Kalvin McRae rushed for 151 yards on 28 carries and scored a touchdown Saturday to lead Ohio to a 23-7 win against Temple.
Ohio's Theo Scott completed just 7-of-12 passes for 94 yards, but got a touchdown from McRae and another from Vince Davidson as the Bobcats compiled 219 yards on the ground to win their second game in a row.
Temple only had 209 yards of total offense, with just 48 rushing yards.
Bowling Green 44,
Akron 20
Bowling Green improved to 3-2 in the East Division on Saturday by compiling 517 yards against the Zips.
The Falcons led 7-3 in the first quarter before scoring 27 unanswered points during the second and third quarters.
Tyler Sheehan threw for two touchdowns and completed 26-of-36 passes for 268 yards. Anthony Turner ran for 104 yards, while Freddie Barnes caught eight passes for 79 yards.
Indiana 38, Ball State 20
The Cardinals were defeated by a Big Ten team for the second consecutive week on Saturday.
And for the second straight week, the Big Ten team earned bowl-eligibility.
After losing to Illinois the week before, the Cardinals lost to an offensively dynamic Indiana team that earned bowl-eligibility for the first time since 1994.
Kellen Lewis starred for the Hoosiers. He completed 22-of-35 passes for 354 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for an additional 52 yards.
