Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police are investigating reports that Augustine Floyd was seen after the party he initially was thought to have disappeared from.
The 18-year-old Suttons Bay man came to Mount Pleasant Oct. 12 to attend T-Pain's concert on CMU's campus and attended a party afterwards on the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Reservation.
Tribal Police Detective Jason VanConant said Floyd left the party to spend the night at a friend's house, but left the house alone in his black four door 1995 Cadillac DeVille.
"This is the most factual information we have received," VanConant said.
Tribal Police have not released what time Floyd left either party or the address of the house, but said the house is located on Francis Drive near Bamber Road.
VanConant said the department has received several tips, including clothing found near a pond on the reservation, but have turned up nothing.
"There are several accounts of that evening. Everyone remembers differently," he said. "We're following all leads. We have to weed through all of them and separate the facts from the fiction and the rumors."
Leelanau County Sheriff Mike Oltersdorf said he suspects foul play.
"We're characterizing it as an involuntary disappearance," he said.
Oltersdorf said Floyd's case file was sent to ABC's "America's Most Wanted" Wednesday night to help spread the word.
"We need someone to come forward with information about him or the vehicle," he said. "We're hoping the media can keep people informed and get the word out to as many people as possible."
Floyd's aunt, Calleen Floyd said the family still is in the Mount Pleasant area looking for him.
"We're trying to bring him home," she said. "We love him and we still have hope."
Calleen Floyd said anyone with information should come forward.
Anyone who has any information should contact the Leelanau County Sheriff's Office at 1-877-256-6911 or call 1-231-947-TIPS to report anonymously.
Oltersdorf said people who feel intimidated can come forward anonymously to a neutral third party at the America's Most Wanted Web site, amw.com.
