Unified Holiday connects 13 student organizations in UC

"I just really like diversity," she said. "And the food is really good."

The celebration featured a variety of cultural dishes.

Appetizers ranged from humus and salsa to bulgogi, a traditional Korean sesame steak dish.

The main course included an Algerian salad, Ensalada de Noche Buena, oven baked red-skinned potatoes and brazen raisin Pesach stew.

After performing a dance about Christmas, Smith said she was going to head over to get some food for herself.

"It's always something different - something you haven't tried," she said.

In between presentations, Her shared information about different groups.

"Muslim means one who submits to God. I didn't know that," she said. "I'm enriching myself right along with you."

Tuma said she was particularly interested in the presentation about Hanukkah.

"I don't have any Jewish friends," she said. "You hear about (Hanukkah) all the time, but I don't know much behind it."
