Collecting sweaters
CMU Public Broadcasting helps less fortunate
Central Michigan University Public Broadcasting, WCMU, is working with organizations around their coverage area to help the less fortunate. The Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Sweater Drive is collecting new or gently-worn sweaters through the month of November. Sweater collection bins will be located at various businesses in the area. In Mount Pleasant, there will be donation bins at WCMU, the Isabella County Commission on Aging, 3480 S. Isabella Road, Sacred Heart Academy, 316 E. Michigan and the CMU Bookstore. CMU Public Broadcasting is unable to provide receipts for donations.

Physician assistant program offers clinics
An influenza vaccine clinic is scheduled to take place from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Shepherd United Methodist Church, 107 W. Wright Ave. Clinics are open to the public. The clinics are in association with the CMU Health Department. Patients must provide health insurance or pay $25. Clinics will only accept cash.
