WMU reaches out to students who left the university
Western Michigan University President John M. Dunn wants to welcome students back to WMU, according to mlive.com.
Dunn wants to institute a program at WMU to assist students returning to college with degree completion.
Return to Learn, a similar initiative promoted by Gov. Jennifer Granholm, was adopted by Western, among other Michigan universities in 2005.
One incentive Return to Learn doesn't have, and Dunn said he would like to add, would make tuition more affordable for returning students.
"(We could offer) a tuition rate more consistent - for a defined period of time - with the tuition rate they had when they left," Dunn said.
