Top 10 Dan LeFevour moments
1. MAC Championship
Quarterback Dan LeFevour throws for 314 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Chippewas over Ohio 31-10 in the team's first Mid-American Conference championship since 1994. LeFevour connected on 22-of-30attempts, including a 71-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Damien Linson to give CMU the lead for good.
2. Dominance over WMU
In two seasons of starting at quarterback for CMU, LeFevour has owned Western Michigan.
And the two wins were some of the most meaningful in his career, as both resulted in MAC West Division championships. Last year, LeFevour threw for 163 yards, including a 53-yard touchdown pass to Linson early in the game in the Chippewas' 31-10 win against the Broncos. This year, LeFevour threw for 235 yards and a touchdown while running for 72 yards and two touchdowns. LeFevour's best moment came in the closing minutes. After Western scored with 1:34 remaining to take the lead after LeFevour fumbled, he regained composure and led CMU down the field and scored on a quarterback sneak with 12 seconds left to give CMU a 34-31 win.
3. Motor City Bowl
LeFevour led the Chippewas to their first ever Division 1-A bowl victory with a 31-14 win against Middle Tennessee State. He was named the game's Most Valuable Player after throwing for 162 yards and touchdown, while also running for 69 yards and a touchdown.
4. Ball State, Army Games
As a sophomore, LeFevour had two incredible back-to-back games earlier this season. Against Ball State he threw for 360 yards and five touchdowns and ran for 146 yards and a touchdown, good for a total of 506 total yards. The output marked the largest single-game total in CMU history for an individual player. Against Army, LeFevour racked up 100 yards rushing and four touchdowns. He also threw for 251 yards and two touchdowns. For his efforts against Army, LeFevour earned USA Today's Player of the Week honors.
